Why a blockchain: It comes down to trust. Large co’s don’t want to trust a startup for critical infrastructure so it's important to remove the dependency on Helium. Tokens incentivizes people to provide useful services early on by allowing them to share in upside later
How enterprises view building on decentralized networks: They actually aren’t turned off by the fact it’s built on a crypto network since that part is abstracted away. To them it looks like AWS credits. "They are more in disbelief that the network actually exists and works!"
Helium 2020:
2019 was focused entirely on getting hotspots out there. 2020 will be all about demand-side usage.
They have a big pipeline of potential users and an exciting announcement related to their work with the developer community coming soon.
