Basically, even if playing in an ideal environment - both players have wired connections, 1v1 lobby, in Japan, it's not gonna get better than this - players will still have 5 frames of input delay

Dont quote me on it, Im not an expert, but Ive been told that Japan has better internet infrastructure + more population density, so people generally have less lag. Europeans/Americans will rarely reach the above ideal situation and nearly always play with more than 5 frames lag.
