One correction: gyms don't have a max of 3 Pokemon; the Pokemon limits depends on the gym level, which can be raised to add more.
3 is max to add your pokemon, 3 is full and then you have to fight. You have to raise the prestige of the gym 2 add more.

The max prestige is 10, so yes the total max is 10

Yeah, I just thought the video was saying that the max, at any given time, was 3. (As if it matters! Gyms are so ephemeral.)

sorry it wasn't clear though.l actually had a whole section on gyms and I cut it out, I was getting really detailed!
