Growing up, I didn't have gamer friends & felt too intimidated to try anything other than cutesy simulation games. I want to finally stop being so nervous & learn to play FPS games this year!
What would you recommend to a newbie with bad aim who wants to try some for fun? 
Overwatch! They have heroes with large AOE and snipers and you can change your character mid game. If you ever get frustrated just switch it up, generally you'll find someone who makes you feel really good about your skillset and contribution to the team.
