Walking with two coffees this morning, a neighbor said, 'Only two?!' to which I assumed he was joking I should have had 3 so he could have one. I replied, 'Yeah sorry man, maybe next time!' upon realizing he was joking that I had two coffees for just me. I forgot how to social.

Same. A neighbour said "Good Morning!" to me the other day and it surprised me so much I just replied "Thanks" and then went back inside.
This is the equivalent to telling the person who rips your movie ticket and says, 'enjoy the show' and you saying 'you too' before feeling bad
