If someone received something, there's a perceived value add to it. That's why they have it, they earned it.
I hear what you're saying, but the vitriol I see online crosses a line imo. A person can be mad at the system for favoring creators, but anger at the creator themselves is also reductive.

Now we're talking about the difference between "punching up" vs. "punching down." I feel that people who are in a position of inequity should be given a much greater level of empathy for their anger/frustration at the people of those "above" them in society—

—and while yes, there's a "line" (i.e. death threats, doxing, causing personal harm), being able to empathize with someone's frustration over your position is a thing that all people with "an audience" need to develop as a skill, and should be considered "part of their job."
