It's difficult to perceive negative reactions to influencers of any size getting free games/merchandise/hardware as anything other than jealousy.
When I say they worked hard to get it, I don't mean you don't work hard, which you obviously do. I mean they are putting in hours specifically to have others hear their opinion. This often involves working with the specific goal of cultivating community.

And I appreciate you saying 'Not All' because while there are certainly lots of privilege in the games industry, there are many who work 3 jobs and do their podcast on the side, save up to get the better mic, and work for years to slowly grow their community.

And I'm not denying that... but most people don't even have the resources and support systems that would even ALLOW them to TRY to do what you do. This idea that "anyone can do it if they work hard enough" is completely false. It's not "their fault" they aren't where you are. So—

—to dismiss their position and frustration as simple "jealousy" while ignoring all the other contributing sociological/socioeconomic, societal, and psychological factors that result in that "jealous" behavior is reductive.
