In response to that viewpoint...I dunno. I grew up a nerd. I got picked on for the stuff I liked, and that sucked. And now I see that stuff has been made popular on the internet, and celebrities/personalities are a big reason for that, and I'm so envious of fellow younger nerds
I understand that! even the word 'nerd' is no longer negative. The kids have it so much easier! I just see it as progress, the way it should have always been. No one should have ever been made fun of for a hobby/passion.

Haha exactly. I don’t want to sound like “old man shouts at cloud,” but yeah I’m so thankful for today’s generation that we got over ourselves and let people enjoy hobbies now. And seeing “cool people” engaged in those hobbies feels like a big part of the “normalization” process
