What do you think he means by 'regular people'?

Maybe I’m reading it differently, but his argument seems to be “Twitch used to be for games, but now celebrities have taken over and use it to champion causes.” To that I say: well, then it’s a good thing you can quite easily avoid all those celebrities and still watch games.
But then what was Games Done Quick? We had gaming celebrities that championed causes, I don't see how adding a movie celeb changes that. Not arguing, just trying to understand.

No worries. :) I think for some, it’s like…”stay in your space, movie star. This is my space.” And maybe that'd be true of Twitch five years ago, but it's no longer a gaming site; it's now a platform for all kinds of genres and hobbies and, sure, causes too.

In response to that viewpoint...I dunno. I grew up a nerd. I got picked on for the stuff I liked, and that sucked. And now I see that stuff has been made popular on the internet, and celebrities/personalities are a big reason for that, and I'm so envious of fellow younger nerds
