I seem to can't get over that I wasted 7 years of my life with the wrong person. I'm trying to make up for it and life is happier but bitterness still seeps through.

I spent about 5 years with a person who was really bad for me, and at first I was ashamed and bitter. Now I wear it like armor. I am smarter and stronger and will never go through that again.

It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you first break up, but when you find the right person after the tough times you look back and realize it was all worth it.
