It seems like the best thing to compare it to is Infamous: First Light, so NOT a full-fledged sequel, but YES a stand-alone game that doesn’t require owning its ‘parent game’ to work, but despite being standalone I don’t think it’s wrong to call it an ‘expansion’. Semantics imo.
I had those questions too! The response was undoubtedly positive, and imo I would rather people be stoked and not sure what it is, than know its a stand alone game and be 'meh' on it.
