My comment can be anything you want as it's your opinion. But the developers saying they want players to overcome & persevere doesn't equate to changing the obstacles for people who find it"hard",no matter from lack of skill or disability. The same elements ARE experienced by all

But they're experienced differently. What he's saying is if a developer is trying to get the player to experience something, and the world experiences those elements at different levels, you can have both. Having a difficulty bar will never stop you from having that experience.

Nor does inferring what you want equal you knowing the artistic intentions of the team either. It's not gatekeeping to make a thing and say this is everything, like it or not, it is the finished product, and any consumer can choose to accept that or not buy it.

And it can be a myriad of reasons of why they're experienced differently, from people with a lack of time, to some people being bad at games, to some with disabilities. But you can't optimize the game for everyone, the game is what it is, & the people who will like it, will.

Then this experience isn't for u, as you can't play it the way the artist who made it, intended. Sometimes you're too short to get on the ride,& that's okay. There are plenty of other experiences to enjoy.
