A Balance Budget Amendment is common sense If I spend more money than I make in a given year, I will have my house, car and property taken away We need to run our government like a household. We need to cut spending and we need to do it now.

Any balanced budget Constitutional Amendment that's going to work is going to have to be rather nuanced, and it's going to have to have some teeth in it so far as penalties for not abiding by it are concerned.
