Rich Kaipust is leaving the OWH, and it should be a big deal. He wrote this gem about Danny Woodhead recently. . Richie sat across from me in the early 2000s, which must've been annoying. (Wazzzup). A genuinely good guy. Give him some love

Be sure to tune in Sunday to E:60 at 9 am Eastern as my friend drops a big story on Michigan State. The piece is three years in the making, and is both powerful and infuriating. A must-watch.

John Skipper is a major reason ESPN is so committed to investigative journalism and longform storytelling. We've always known he had our backs. I'm deeply grateful and wish him well.

When I told I was leaving the NU vb beat to cover fball years ago, he asked, "Is that a demotion?" Maybe it was. Good luck to one of the most interesting coaches I've met in his quest tonight for another national championship.

It was Dec. 6, 2009, when told me that Scott Frost would be the head coach at Nebraska some day. (I may have looked back at him sideways.) This is how Bill Moos made it happen — with help from Davison and, of course, Tom Osborne:

1/2 I'm not sure what was more fun ... Writing about Belichick singing "Love Potion No. 9" or hearing Jay's stories about Hunter S. Thompson, the '60s, and all the cool writers he's edited. He's a mentor, friend and someone who could always talk me down in a crisis of confidence.

1/1 I was so intimidated 10 years ago when I found out I'd be working with Jay Lovinger. He was Gary Smith's editor at SI, and was doing incredible stuff with Wright. I think the first thing we did together was a story on Bill Belichick's human side.
