Then you should be able to answer the question I had a couple days ago. If 'they' is being used as a singular third person pronoun, how do you conjugate verbs? Like "He is" vs "They(plural) are" Is it "They is?"

The singular they has always been conjugated the same as the plural they, I. E. "We have a new teacher, I don't know who they are". Think about how "you" is both singular and plural, but grammatically it's always conjugated in the plural.

This isn't about adding singular 'they.' That was already in there. This is about adding a definition that specifically acknowledges its use for non-binary people.
