true, but is it very helpful? @EvidenceLive

You don't think culture's helpful?
-
It's important, if over-used, But not for curing sick people,
-
Culture frames pts'&HCPs' expectations, interpretations& experiences of health, illness, tx, consultation-impacts on these so on effectivess
-
Sorry, but speaking as both patienf and as statistician, I find stuff like that pretty insulting
#EvidenceLive -
I could be wicked and suggest your response is, of itself, the result of cultural framing, but I won't.
-
I'm disappointed that you aren't responding to my points at all
#EvidenceLive -
.....I'm sorry you have been frustrated by discussions that don't acknowledge your experience of pain.

…If the stories are representative; otherwise, subculture?
-
Good thought. I'd say it's not so much whether the stories are representative... It's whether they are recognised, and accepted.
-
In which case, they would become more representative.
-
Apologies. I thought you meant representative in a statistical sense.
-
Well, sort of did. If stories of some get accepted by many, then those same stories would then better reflect the larger population.
-
Ah got it! Yes, it's a dynamic relationship... Sharing stories changes the culture more broadly. But very slowly, I think.

It's some of culture. Unless you have all stories, it has to be partial.
