The religious discrimination bill, if it passes into legislation will see many future LGBTIQ kids contemplating and some committing suicide. And the bill is so unnecessary. Australia already has robust and quite adequate religious freedom! The bill MUST be stopped!!

Abandoning trans kids in the religious discrimination bill is a cynical and cowardly move which is going leave them - some of our most vulnerable children - once again facing the bullshit cultural wars alone, and without protections

The minister who shared the text with van Onselen and gave permission to use it was Peter Dutton. If PM Morrison has one more week in free fall the prospect of a leadership change pre-election is real. Party rules don’t count if most MPs think you will lead them to defeat.

You have done an incredible job for the nation. So impressive. So articulate. So strong. Thankyou

With only a week to go ‘til I’m washed-up, I’d just like to thank you all for your support this past year. Although I didn’t choose the award, I’ll forever be grateful for the honour. Change was made before, is happening now, and will continue—growing in volume, every day ❤️

This young man should be released at once. Just think what potential he holds for helping build a good productive life in this country. Yet we squander his potential, take away his youth, and ruin his mental health. How cruel and inhumane can this country get! We are PARIAHS!

I am so depressed and hopeless about the state of my country tonight. And I see no end in sight. The present Government is likely to be re-elected because most Australians don't care. They are not bad people, just unthinking. Australia is now the home of inhumanity and cruelty.

Some seriously silly questions about "why Victoria" at the presser right now. Virus transmission is a highly stochastic (i.e. random) process. This type of rapid cluster growth was inevitable. That it has occurred here in Victoria is pure chance. Contact tracing efforts amazing.

Yes, I agree - it could not be worse. And our Federal government endorses this nonsense and thinks it's going to be acceptable to teenagers in 2021?

Dear @PatsKarvelas, The #MovingTheLine #consent video looks like a late-1990's Christian educational video on "relationships" set in a cheesy 1950's milk-bar. Syrupy, confused, badly-scripted and poorly-acted. It is utterly woeful.#AfternoonBriefing #auspol

Thank goodness the US democratic system came through this far

The US Electoral College formerly declares @JoeBiden and @SenKamalaHarris elected as President and Vice President. Now for the graceless departure of the flatulence that has besmirched the presidency for the past 4 years.
In spirit of independent scrutiny (I care about good policy & don't care which party delivers it) it needs to be said that NSW used private contractors to run security at quarantine hotels & only reason I can see for why people didn't get sick was good luck not good management
