@MemberOfSpecies Chess is about argumentation within a strictly defined system of norms, like law. It's not a glorious combat simulator.

@MemberOfSpecies Besides law, there's navigation of strictly stratified social structures, e.g. caste systems, feudalism, the Church, &c.

@MemberOfSpecies Because the problems to be simulated are already abstract, further abstracting them feels less like forging a simulacrum.
