One odd thing about inspirational quotes is how amoral they are. "Don't let anyone stand in the way of your dreams." (...Tywin Lannister?)

No hint of meta. I guess this is because they originate as self-exhortations & one's own goals are always by definition goodness & light.
@simplic10 Most advice doesn't say "check whether you're a good person before succeeding". It doesn't seem specific to inspirational quotes.
