It’s been disappointing to see some circulate disinformation about our office and reform policies in general. It’s been particularly disappointing to see how much the disinformation affected and violated victims of crime. What’s even more disappointing to see is the crowds of dealers selling fentanyl on our streets.

No mention of that in the article, nor the 700+ deaths from the drug last year in SF. Guess that´s not important to the writer.

It´s about prosecuting the fentanyl drug dealers. Seems to be a very lenient attitude towards drug dealers now -- fentanyl is a known killer, unlike other drugs, and these drug dealers are making a lot of money from selling the drug to people they know could easily die from it.

Lol yes- prosecuting drug crimes has everything to do with overdose deaths. Overdose deaths have increased 30-40% since he took office. On track to continue increasing.

If cops aren’t seeking and arresting fentanyl dealers there’s no way for the DA to prosecute them. If you have stats on arrests of dealers that would help.

https://www.marinatimes.com/2021/03/chesa-boudin-by-the-numbers/ … From November to April of this year, Boudin only had ***16*** convictions. The guy who struck and killed Hanako Abe was arrested for SEVENTY-TWO felonies in San Francisco ALONE. Before the killing. Boudin response: “why didn’t PD tell me?”

Weren’t we talking about fentanyl? If you want to blame the DA for fentanyl overdoses the burden is on you to prove the connection. The DA does not investigate or arrest drug rings, that’s not his job.

.. it’s the polices job to arrest. Police did that. It’s the DAs job to convict. He doesn’t. Nearly ever. For drug dealing or anything else. No convictions or punishment encourages its use. Pretty straight forward correlation.
