What the Left can't do is get defeatist about Biden if he's president. He won't have Obama's charisma or political capital. Leftists should spend four years fighting him to do better. It's possible.

I'm 1000% demoralized (I haven't felt this detached from an election outcome since 1996) but I will not give up. We need to tear through the 2022 primaries like a buzzsaw. FDR didn't come to power mouthing idiocies about working with Republicans, returning to civility etc.

yes yes but that's not my point - Biden comes in on a mountain of rhetoric vowing to include Republicans. He overtly and vocally rejects Democratic unilateralism and has been a warrior for austerity. Also as others in your thread say, he's cheerfully bound by donor red lines.
