: People can disagree if they want but we need a new Constitutional convention if we make it past Nov. 3rd as a nation.
One thing we've learned from the #SCOTUS vacancy, the Trump presidency, & debates over the Electoral college, is that the framework isn't up to par.

We are currently either 2 or 3 votes shy of a Constitutional Convention, if memory serves. The problem is, the original call was made by Republibertarians who want to remove all the halfway progressive amendments.
-
So, unless the progressives and leftists don't want to see the Constitution utterly eradicated, they had best start preparing now to get seats at the table.

Doesn’t amending our Constitution require 2/3 supermajority in both the House and the Senate and then 3/4 of all 50 state legislatures to agree?
-
Yes that's the Amendment process. However, the original convention set out to "revise" the Articles of Confederation, essentially birthing an entirely new government without a civil war at the time.

The issue I see with having a Constitutional Convention is that I don't trust *any* of the people in power at any level to have the ability to tinker with the framework. FFS, everything they produce now fucks us harder and enriches/enables the predators/parasites more.
