• Health care, including mental health care, home- and community-based services and supports without waitlists, asset or income restrictions, as a human right to everyone in America. • Ensure Medicaid coverage of hearing, magnification, and mobility aids.
• Expand funding for research into treatments and cures • End subminimum wage for workers with disabilities while guaranteeing jobs and living wages in the community for all. • Expand, and increase effective enforcement of the ADA.
• End the use of arbitration clauses in employment agreements which prevent disabled people from ensuring employers provide adequate accommodations. • Pass the Disability Integration Act, to establish a clear standard for the delivery of high-quality services.
• Enact the Social Security Caregiver Credit Act to compensate the more than 43 million unpaid caregivers for their work. • Protect and expand the Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income • Eliminate the SSDI benefits cliff.
