It's not time to fear, it's time to fight...a : I know that things feel terrifying and awful right now, because quite frankly, they are.

But when I start feeling worried and hopeless, I hear my three kids running around our two-bedroom apartment, and I see my wife lovingly cooking us dinner, and I remember that it’s not time to fear, it’s time to fight. It’s time to fight for a just future now, more than ever.

The current calamity has been decades in the making. Decades of governmental neglect, of putting corporations above working people, of a few people holding far too much power for far too long, while the rest of us are too busy just trying to make it.

And then, a President with no moral compass, no guiding principles, who has been dismantling our government as we know it. But all is not lost. We are here. You, and me, and our families, and our neighbors. And we can absolutely build something better, together.

That’s why I’m in this race. I’m in it for my kids, and for yours. I’m in it for your aging parents, and my mom, a retired nurse who is being asked to jump back into battle by her union as our beloved Queens is under siege.

I want to go to D.C. to fight tooth and nail for you, for your loved ones, and for all of the people we don’t know. I want to fight for your fundamental right to healthcare, to housing, to a livable wage, and a livable planet.
