I had a salon owner try and pull that ish on me in Miami. I was like “NOPE!”.
So many folks are misclassified as 10-99 workers leaving them without health insurance, sick pay, vacation or protections like worker’s comp or unemployment. They did that to me when I worked for a telemarketing company called "LiveOps." I was able to work from home and make my own hours, but I was "self-employed" and "contracting" for them.
