Bernie Sanders has moved the conversation left on virtually every policy issue. But it won’t mean much in the end if progressives don’t put reforming the Supreme Court right up there with priorities like a #GreenNewDeal & #MedicareForAll. #OurRightsOurCourts
I would argue civil service reform is even more important. Our priorities will be sabotaged, stalled, and mismanaged given the current state of the bureaucracy. Trump has excelled at gutting the machinery of government.

Absolutely. It makes sense to mobilize a movement by foregrounding policy & principles, but if the left wants to wield power in a way that’s effective/enduring, we have to pay attention to how government works and who it works for (including the judicial & civil service reform).
