Having this personal experience and a number of friends and family who continue to struggle, some in silence, informs my desire to bring real change to how we address these issues from the policy side of things.
We can't address our nation's mental health crisis by ignoring it, and making access to help difficult or outright impossible to attain. We need #MedicareForAll and thoughtful policy/programming to properly assist those who carry the weight of this struggle.
