Living wage won't matter if companies close (from Amazon) or automate your position away. Just some food for thought.
Agreed that's why we need both, to address the present realities of workers and to prepare for the future where "work" will be redefined altogether.

Y’know, Yang doesn’t oppose wage increases, he supports them at the state level to index them to regional cost of living/profit margin dependencies. Which makes sense if you live somewhere like Nebraska where our dollars tend to go further in terms of day-to-day costs.

I don't want it to come across as if I'm against wage increases. I think naturally UBI should precede wage increases. UBI starts a cycle that will help the economy. Once that is established, there's enough $$$ in circulation to increase wages without negative impact for companies
