Took a peek at the qrt's and it seems the 5 star rating system is like this everywhere. We may as well have a 'like/dislike' system in place so there's no room for confusion and people won't feel like they have to exaggerate their review to save a life.
I got a 2 star review for the "delivery estimation being unreliable" when that's something I have barely any control over. I dropped it in the mail EARLY - I did all i can! and they didnt even contact me about it being "late" - just reviewed poorly...for a $2 sticker :/ it hurts.
I think the worst part is, Etsy won't even let you contest it despite being completely out of your control. If anything even it sounded like the review was more for Etsy than it was you, since they're the ones giving estimates.
I got my 4 star 2 days ago, they didn’t say anything wrong in the review itself and said if was perfect so I’m not entirely sure why they felt the need to give 4 stars 
I imagine it's because they "Liked" it, but didn't "Love" it. They probably don't have a clue that what they are doing is a full blown middle finger, instead of the 'honest review' they think it is.
I've always hated star review system. In my eyes, a 4 star would be something like "Meet my expectations." This is why sites changed to the thumbs up or down system. There is much less opinion on how the system should work that way.
A lot of big business do this cuss too. I worked for a pharmacy where if a survey was sent out and we got 4 star ratings instead of 5 we were heavily scrutinized by cooperate by loo of the regional manager stopping by nigh weekly to check for any little thing out of place.
This reminds me of the CSAT scores for call center employee satisfaction. You get rated out of 10 and anything from a 7 down will tank your metrics and you may as well be given a 0 at that stage
Review systems suck. They're too easy to game and a lot of the big vendors push their products to the top with fake reviews.
its also frustrating that etsy & every company out there using star ratings like this make it impossible to actually use their systems for constructive feedback. making anything less than a perfect score actively damage a business vs just showing a slightly lower avg score... why
