Want to make comics want to draw cute merch want to draw illustrations want to get better at art want to make watercolour art want to write new stories want to pitch new comics want to develop new art
But only have 3 hours after work if i sleep at midnight
Too western for anime conventions. Too "mainstream" for art conventions.
Wish comics had a stronger standing here, I constantly feel like I don't beling.
i may have already seen spiderverse but i came across yet another video clip that was taken from the movie that didn't mention spiderverse or spider or anything identifiable and honestly...
why?
why do y'all do that?
People might not realize it, but getting positive comments on stuff you make as an artist means a hell of a lot. Wayyy more than likes or even follows, those feel less and less meaningful as bots take over the internet
Wish the outpouring love for Ace Attorney was shared with Ghost Trick, as its severely overshadowed. Both by Shu Takumi; both written so well.
If you're an Ace Attorney fan, please don't ignore Ghost Trick. It's full of just as much charm & emotional payoff you wouldn't expect๐
my hip pain has been seriously distracting me from work and art it sucks. It's nothing to do with my hands but boy does the pain make me unable to sit properly nor draw properly
i want to live in a world where people are paid more for the work they create. "money isn't everything" some might argue, but money is needed to be alive, which is key to creating any art.
As Virginia Woolf said, one must have money and a room of one's own to write fiction.
many people love to take advantage of artist's passion, that they should be expected to accept lower pay just because it's 'artsy' and also 'they like making it'
as if jobs and money should only be given to those who are miserable and hate their jobs
I truly do wish comics and art were more valued here. Especially self-published work. Yes, I love comics. Yes, I love making comics. It's my pride and joy. But it's hard when I'm juggling a full-time job on top of other commitments. Eventually, something has to give
I hear often that my comics are expensive when I sell them, but they're truly comparable to the price of comics you see in the store, except my printing costs are higher, my boothing costs are higher, and I wasn't even paid to make the comic in the first place
So you're a comic fan who is suddenly learning the amazing artists and writers who make the stuff you love basically get paid pocket lint and damage their health to create it. You're probably shocked and horrified. What can you do as a fan? A lot, actually ๐
seeing tweets about how impossible it is to make a living in the comics industry and that just makes me so fucking sad. comics are so undervalued and yet there's such a high demand for them, and yet so many people don't understand the amount of effort that goes into one comic
Breaking News: I WILL in fact be tabling at Animangaki 2023, thanks to a spontaneous email that arrived in my inbox at 3am! What a shocking surprise!
I guess you just can't get enough of me, world! I'm back, baby!
Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to get a booth for Animangaki this year. I am, however, going to be at AnyGames Con at the end of July, where I'll be focussing on my DnD content and offering character commissions!
Pretty bummed but it's the gacha and I'm chronically unlucky

i don't trust corporate pride because a TERF will say "TERF is a slur and you hate women" and the corporation will immediately disintegrate and go "uwAGHhghh I'm SOoOOoo SORRY we believe in EVERYONE'S ability to VOICE THEIR OPINIONS"
and the opinion's just transphobia
