Of course #terrorists or anyone in #prison shouldn’t #vote. @SenSanders is a spoiler candidate who will siphon #votes from good candidates like @PeteButtigieg or @AmyKlobuchar. This is not rocket science. He helped Trump win in 2016 by siphoning votes. Same M.O. again.

Why "of course" for prisoners?
-
Well, as an example only, would you want your child’s murderer voting for a candidate who is for releasing killers early on “good behavior”? I’m guessing not.
-
But you could apply that argument to anyone who votes with a self-interest, which is nearly 100% of voters. Aging seniors, students with loans, religious zealots all vote for a cause. I don't understand why it should be a given that you have no right to vote while incarcerated.
-
If you can't obey the laws of a civilized society, to the point where you actually have to be locked up, then why the heck would you want these same people able to influence any policy at all?? Decisions have consequences.
-
Because we all know the law is applied fairly across all groups of citizens...except that in the real world, we know they're not.
-
Sounds like an issue worth fighting for. Far more important than worrying about prisoners having the right to vote.
-
i’m with Bill here. no on terrorists voting. of course, i’m also a no on muslims voting because what if one of them is a terrorist. i’m also a no on white men voting because they might be mass shooters. no gun owners should vote just to be super on the safe side. jail everyone!pic.twitter.com/myYHSY6op7

You are taking one extreme throw away line out of context for whatever your agenda is. Sanders says people in prison should vote. Using the SINGLE WORST criminal as an example to say the other hundreds of thousands of people in jail shouldn't vote is nonsense.
-
People in prison shouldn’t be able to vote though. Period.
-
No, but when they get out after time served. They should have that right. It’s called time served and they are Americans citizens. Every vote should count, not just middle America and the Deep South with their conservative ways. Electoral was inplace when we had 13 states.
-
So we should allow felons to own firearms after they serve their time, correct?
-
So you're FOR limiting constitutional rights? I'm happy to have your support for the background checks for firearms and bans on certain types of weapons.
-
Why to extrapolate some nonsense. Background checks already happen, not sure how people still dont know this. And no not for banning of weapons. However once you become a felon you forfeit rights, you are a menace to society and no longer get to fully participate.
-
Background checks don't happen in every state, but that's beside the point. It's a good point and discussion to have. If people have a Constitutional right, where in the Constitution does it say they forfeit those rights if they become a felon?
-
It does not, that is where State regulation comes in. That's my point, it should remain a state law and most states outlaw it. I'm also curious about which states dont background check.

Agree that your dad should have been stripped of his citizenship
-
Not me......I would have let him vote from his cell in The Hague.
-
This is the correct position tbh
