Yep. The "deadass 10" bit gives it away.
Redditors keeping that “men and women can’t have a close platonic friendship” thing going. I also did not get a flirting vibe from that story.
Man I go back and forth on my thoughts on that constantly.
For me it's the hiding it from hisn"overemotional" gf.
As someone who is aware they are overly emotional (hello therapist if you are reading this!) I am 100% always going to prefer being clued in. Don't hide it.
He called her a perfect 10 and they send each other good morning texts and joke about being spouses sounds like flirting to me
I dunno! I have had a work friend that was ridiculously hot who I texted with. I didn't call him a work spouse though because I hate that term (though surprisingly will use the term work mom?) The guy definitely sucks. I'm just not sure work!woman is flirting back.
The whole "she's a solid 10" thing tipped me to some interest there... Why is that important to the story - unless there's some underlying interest in her.
I'm not saying I don't believe in platonic relationships but imo calling someone other than your spouse a spouse is a massive red flag. If it were truly platonic I'd have called her a bestie or something.
Okay I like this. This makes sense to me. While I have friends that use the phrase and have never seen anything other than platonic friendship from it, but I can understand this as a red flag.
