I wrote about the fear of the mind, the fear of the subconscious. But that's been 10 years now. I should reread it and reevaluate for sure.

I loved the way the author reinforced that theme in his descriptions of the architecture of Jekyll’s house. Would you say Hyde represented the subconscious though? He always seemed more like the Id to me (despite predating the term if I recall correctly)?
