All this talk of Away and the fact that one of the co-owners worked while going through chemo and how that's such strength is making me angry. Sure, that's good for her and if it's what she wanted to do, respect.

Ugh I know this is irrational anger, especially as I just put in my days off for my next Rituxan rounds. But I find myself to be stronger because I take the time for myself, rather than let a job dictate and control my life.

Work/life balance is SO NECESSARY stop pretending it isn't. So many millennials came into the workplace in such a low point that it has become ingrained to be terrified to do anything at the risk of losing our jobs and this feeds into that STOP IT

I'll be honest here: I was (and still occasionally am) terrified that I'll lose my job for someone who is healthier and who doesn't have to take sick days. And outside of infusions, I RARELY take a sick day. I'm more likely to work from home. This is STILL NOT HEALTHY.
