Its incredibly unfortunate to learn that @Scribd has become a scam after recommending it to so many people. Even after trying to talk to customer service, the answers I'm getting are crap and the service isnt worth anyone's time.

They are blaming publishers as the reason why books were only available to me for 5 days, even after waiting as long as 2 months for one to become available.

Here is my issue: *I add books to my list that I was told I would have access on 11/2. Some of them I wait nearly a month. *I get them 11/2. On 11/7, the app tells me that oh no they aren't available until 12/2. That's 5 days. And for one book, the second time it has happened.

It wasn't even 5 whole days if you factor in the time they were released and when they were gone. Yet I cannot get a reason from Scribd as to why this happened, other than "oh well there are other books!" or "we aren't truly unlimited and we won't ever tell you no just wait!"

So in other words, your company isn't transparent in what they mean by unlimited, and I view this as a bait and switch to keep me paying for books that you won't actually let me use. And I am cancelling my account.
