Real talk: I’ve read the book, I’ve seen the Owen Wilson movie, I didn’t find them scary (movie was bad, my brain can filter books). BUT in general I can’t do things where you see ghosts who look as they did when they died (Sixth Sense/13 Ghosts broke me). Can I watch Hill House?

Proooooobably not? It's definitely got a lot of ghosts and takes away the "hey maybe this is all in your head" and the "bent neck lady" is one of the running ghosts sooooooo maybe try a few during the daytime?

Damn I was really excited because Carla Gugino and the director were a power duo on Gerald’s Game. It’s definitely a daytime show for me. (I remember very little of the book and movie though so “bent neck lady” doesn’t even ring a bell

So was the last movie version
I read the book as a teenager so I only remember the vaguest of things. I actually don’t recall them ever SEEING the ghosts, but again, it’s been 20 years since I read it. (I AM OLD)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I highly recommend a reread! It definitely toes the line of "what is real?!" The 1960s film is amazing too. I thought the show would be about the first family and maybe a second season being more about the book but uhhhh no.
