@joelbezaire has two Desmos ABs that made my students ADORE the interior angle formula bc they never had to memorize it. Just think about the triangles.
I don’t have a link bc I’m on my phone. But I feel like they pop up on Desmos when you search “interior angle”

Actually, it makes a nice exploration. I have them divide each polygon into triangles, starting from one vertex. And they notice that there’s n-2 triangles inside each polygon. And a triangle has 180 degrees so they derive the formula themselves.

I don’t mean the angle sum. I mean one interior angle. I think it’s easier to do 360/n and then find the supplementary angle.

Have them investigate both, look for the relationships, develop the formulas, compare the formulas. Have them decide which is easier.

Since the 180(n-2)/n formula isn’t on our formula sheets for the state test, I always teach the 360/n and use the supp. angle. They all get to see the first formula…but they quickly discover using the supp angle is easier.

I don't think it's a necessity to test single interior angle formula, but it may be nice to at least still discuss it & have the students develop it & notice relationships between interior & exterior angles. By doing this it may even reinforce the 180-360/n as the easier way.
