I’m interested in SEND, as a topic... but i don’t think it’s being used as an interest here. In this context it might make more sense to be a secondary filter: show me Dance activities which are especially for or accommodating to children with additional needs.

So, while it’s good that things like exist, I’m rather tired of seeing Disabled and Special Needs listed as a filter category alongside interests because it is possible for children with SEND to be interested in other things, like nature, dance...

In the last 24 hours, I've had migraines triggered on Twitter via a photo of some monochrome dazzle shoes () and a similar trailer image for something by the . Just so you know, that kind of pattern is a pretty common trigger for migraine sufferers. 🤯

Friends: if you should happen to have a burst pipe in the kitchen so that you go in to make a cuppa and discover the floor under an inch of hot water, don’t do it on Easter Sunday: apparently all the emergency plumbers are too busy digesting their lamb/choccy eggs to pop over. 🌊

I stopped doing April Fools 16 years ago after wryly blogging that I was leaving tech & moving to Cornwall to open a surf cafe. So many people were genuinely pleased for me, said it was about time, wished me well.... I felt like a total heel it wasn’t true. Never again.

I cannot love this more. Showing this to my Puffin-obsessed daughter when she wakes up. It will make her day. 🕶

Is there a way to control an Amazon Echo remotely without using voice control? (I’m sitting with my daughter while she goes to sleep. Echo is playing BBC6Music in the kitchen below her room, and it’s a bit too loud. Can’t see an obvious way to use app to turn it down/off?)

Every couple of months, this surfaces in my YouTube autoplaylist and I get sad all over again, especially as it seems to get more poignant with every day that passes

A Facebook app to show you which of your contacts has got the leakiest privacy settings. A Facebook app to auto unfriend anyone who does a quiz which shares all of *their* friend’s details with the quiz creator. A Facebook app to create digital chaff to send to app creators.

Yesterday’s brilliant IPSEA training course for PCFs on SEND decision making and the law resulted in frustrating dreams (nightmares) about tribunals. And now I have to make that dream come true. Again. 😡

This fashion shoot is quite something. Think council leisure centre employee chic meets 5am Stansted no frills flight to Ayia Napa with the ladz meets stolen credit card meets shop assistant jacking up prices to make you leave the shop. 😳

Ladies! Why not pamper yourself this with some fundamental human rights, equal pay and agency over your own body, life and education? Go on, you deserve it. (This in response to brands hopping on the IWD bandwagon to flog stuff to females. Bugger off.)

Nice....but my similar (unposed, taken on a Nokia camphone) tube Geisha reader pic went viral in 2006! (Or what passed for viral before twitter got big, anyway - remember Flickr?).

Laboriously copying out lines and lines of BASIC from this book (for owners of the short-lived Dragon 32) in about 1983 to make simple programs like a biorhythms calculator. I had no clue what a biorhythm is. Still don’t, tbh.
