Meg do you have the numbers on how many of those women vote? I would be curious to learn that and what their religious affiliation is. Baptist?

What does it matter, if the majority of people in the state voted? If women decided not to vote because it was not an issue for them that is their choice too. People should not interfere in a states agenda. Their people have spoken.

The fallacy is that anyone is concerned about "controlling" women's bodies. Its the new human body she produced (when voluntarily engaging in reproductive acts with the father) that people are concerned about protecting from death.
