In 75 seconds he referenced scripture more authentically and sincerely than the con POTUS masquerading as a Christian has done in all his life. If he carries on like this, Buttegieg will be president at some point in my lifetime.

There are millions of liberal Christians in America. I am not religious but don't mind sincere Christians who can keep religion out if politics.

I think understanding that there are many devout people of faith who need to be nudged back in the right direction is a good start. We need to get people to first understand that Trump is not an example of Christ's teachings & that he doesn't even follow the 10 commandments.

Brilliantly stated. Also a great reminder for me of how many American values are moderate and moral rather than extremist left or right. As Trump divides people we risk losing ourselves and each other.

100%. I've always said that if you follow religion and science to their inevitable conclusions, they meet in the middle. Problem is, the Blue folks scream about science and say to toss spirituality, while the right screams about Jesus and ignores science when it's the same thing.

I don't think when Jesus comes back he's going to pat right wingers on the back for being against abortion while supporting the other 99% of the Republican party platform that is completely against his teachings. Jesus is not about greed, power, oppression,& hate.
