It was a very nice minted lamb steak with veg. Nothing fancy, but very tasty!

Oooo, that sounds tasty! And, quite frankly, I had chips and salsa for dinner, so yours sounds very fancy. Glad you did something nice for your tummy.

Chips and salsa, like a dip? I don't think I've tried that - but was it good at least?, that's what matters. Home cooked is stressful but always worth it, I was tempted by takeaway but glad I didn't in the end lol. Honestly if the lamb wasn't so expensive I'd have it every day.

Yeah, corn tortilla chips and a spicy tomato salsa to dip them in. It was okay, but a good hot meal would've been better. Tbh, I can cook very well, I was just lazy. Yeah, I can't afford fantastic meats and I've only been eating meat for a year, so I'm scared I'll f it up.

As in f up cooking it? I get that. I'm constantly worried I won't cook something enough and it'll be raw so I keep to safe meats where "rare" is ok. I've also so far found following the instructions does not work for me???
. I've resorted to just frying most things in a pan lol1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Yeah, I do the same with meats. I also cut them into smaller parts, usually, which helps, & use a meat thermometer. I LOVE grilling, though! I was taught to express love through food, so I really enjoy cooking and baking for people. I just get bored if it's only for me.

I should really get a thermometer. Cutting up pieces sounds like a good idea, I'll do that with my next one :) Grilling, like a BBQ? They're always good! I wanna do that in the summer if I can. And I used to bake with my grandparents so I love it too, I should do it more often.

Yes, BBQing in the Summer is one of my favorite past-times! Grilled salmon and vegetables...mmm! What was your favorite thing to bake with your grandparents?

It was cakes, scones, and bread we used to do! You can't beat some homemade bread

yum! Haven't done so in years sadly though :/1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Oh, wow! I never mastered a homemade scone. And, yes, just the smell of homemade bread makes me feel so warm and fuzzy! You *should* bake again, if you're up to it! If you share photos, I'll bake something too!

Cheese scones are my favourite:)
if I get round to it I definitely will! The problem is finding the time, I'm in a large-ish household and there's just the one oven so the trickiest part is finding when it's free.

Oh, good lord, a cheese scone sounds delicious, rn! Ah, I see, that is a challenge. We'll, no pressure, I understand trying to share a kitchen. But, if you do get around to it, I'd love to see what you make.

Well, now I've thought about it too much and have a craving that can ONLY be satisfied by cheese scones so if I bake anything, it'll be that lol!
