Adding my voice to #DetransAwarenessDay
I am a detransitioned woman who first transitioned as a teen almost 10 years ago under GIDS, I've been attending Gender Clinics for 9 years now. I'm also someone who detransitioned because of transition regret.

But what I experienced those first 8 months was awful. I felt like I was never going get anywhere. I hope with detransitioners speaking out today people will begin to listen to us and our needs for better care and treatment will be heard. 6/6

Addition because it wasn't clear: I've been attending Gender Clinics for a total of 9 years. This is divided between GIDS (2012-2014) and my current adult GIC (2014-current). My experience in detransition has all been under my adult GIC.

Requesting you dress a certain way?

They are no longer insisting I dress femininely to "prove" I am a woman (not sure why they suddenly stopped... but I did send very complain-y letters to them about it.)

I'm so, so sorry. I'm a hetero female, & I had to have a full hyst in '03. When I moved, nobody here would refill my estrogen HRT, bc I'd had a blood clot in '06 (altho I'd already been on lo-dose HRT for 8 years w no probs).

Had to quit cold turkey, then go w/o for several years until a few angels actually listened. It's really miserable (and unhealthy!) being without — glad you're finally being heard.
