That imagined future for me ended up thrown out when I transitioned. Now I'm "back" and detransitioned, happy as a woman. But I'll still never be the feminine daughter she imagined she'd get. (idk if this makes sense lol) 2/2
This makes me wonder how many of these parents are hoping their kid will "go back to normal" as in, how they perceived them to be before. For example, my mother - like most - had an idea of how I'd turn out. 1/2
