Are other post-hysterectomy/oophorectomy women just put on whatever dose of estrogen and never get levels checked too? Or am I genuinely being ignored? I have no comparison and IDK what it is I should be expecting from them. All I do know is on T my levels were always checked.

They should be checking them. You are going to have to advocate for yourself here. There were times I had to demand my T levels be checked because I knew it was to high.

Self advocacy is not a talent of mine, this sucks lol:)) Had a phone call with my GP and they told me dosages are "by how you feel, not levels" which imo makes it sound like they shove you onto the lowest dose they can get away with... Or I'm just being too conspiracy, I hope.

I always have to request my levels be checked. I wanted progesterone and estrogen and the Dr said I didn't need it because I still have ovaries. Sure as shit, I demanded she check my levels and my e was really low for some reason.

I do estrogen after hysterectomy and menopause. Never ever checked my levels. My measure is through how comfortable I feel with penetrative sex and how much I lubricate when I’m aroused. If that works, levels are fine. Self evaluation. Works for me.

I'm menopausal. Not taking HRT yet, but have had my levels checked twice. Dr. said it would be an ongoing thing to watch for to ensure we're not over/under doing it. (I'm in Canada, tho, too, so regs might be different.)

I feel similar about my hormones; “just come in every two weeks” is what my PCP told me, no appointment necessary. Shots in the dark with these injections of testosterone, without which I’ve got nothing...

My body was producing a variety of hormones, besides testosterone, and I wonder how that translates into Testosterone Replacement Therapy, which only provides the one. Ambivalence of clinicians in regards to synthetic hormones is worrisome

I was a weird case i guess. 1 ovary removed at 18 and had some crazy hormone imbalances so was put on a nothing dose of T and a larger dose of estrogen for 6mos and then checked and taken off both. It balanced out and seemed to be leveled out but never checked again

Even when I've asked because the imbalances were so wild it makes sense to periodically do a panel
