What about women under GICs who challenge them? Who come up with bullshit like "maybe you're actually NB" or "you just need to consolidate yourself in your male role" (which is what I was first told by my GIC). What about when GICs try to use someone's gender non-conformity 2/4
as some sort of "gotcha" that you're "clearly not really a woman" because their views are so backwards? What about women not currently under GICs who would have to rejoin the years long waiting lists? What if women just don't want to go back to the places that hurt them? 3/4

Surely it is a breach of your human rights to not be able to be legally recognised as the sex that you are, if that is your wish?
It is not that it is not possible but that it made harder than it should be. Primarily due to having to resort to unsympathetic health services/practitioners?
I’m running into this kind of issue while looking into breast reconstruction after regretting my top surgery - needing documentation from a therapist to prove Im not insane for wanting breasts after a mastectomy? But delayed reconstruction is fine for other people? Wtf?
On the one hand, I can see why it was intended that legally changing sex/gender would be permanent (and of course the declaration requires the person intend this) - but there needs to be a better mechanism for reversion.
