Why did I listen to my surgeon when he said if I kept my ovaries they "couldn't take them out later" if they got cancerous or whatever it was that can happen? What bullshit. Why would he say that? What could have possibly prevented further surgery if I needed it?

They might have died within 5 years anyway without the uterus because it's a whole system reliant on eachother or whatever but that'd be five years of being HRT-free smh. click undo :/

Was the surgeon a 'gender' specialist or gynaecologist? Plenty of women have hysterectomy & retain ovaries in other circumstances
