I was on it for the last year. It made me gain a lot of weight and, since my hot flashes and aches seem to be mostly under control, I stopped taking it. But it's something to consider. It helped a lot when I needed it.
I'm not convinced that progesterone isn't needed for post hysto women, some sites on HRT for women suggest it helps with mood, anxiety, depression. I feel like I am being short changed.

I have been on HRT for 10 years to keep depression at bay I am supposed to take progesterone each month to bring on a bleed and protect my uterus but I hate doing it as my mood gets bad while taking it so I skip some months. If I didn’t have to take it I would rejoice.
