2/4) support that view and then spread the lie that if the kids can't get it we'll "risk seeing more suicides". I've no doubt that this scaremongering creates a sense of urgency mixed with dread and desperation which only worsens how dysphoric youths feel. Nothing good comes

3/4) from feeling like that. I had a different reason behind it, but those feelings were what spurred me on to "complete" transition - a huge regret. It's not the right state of mind for making decisions on your health that are as permanent as physical transition.

4/4) An irresponsible and harmful lie to spread for so many reasons, but the people who claim to want to help dysphoric kids - even some professionals who should know better - will shout it from the rooftops anyway despite being told that it can cause further harm. Shame on them.

Well, doctors, academics, journalists, media personalities have made careers out of it, they're not going to lose face now if they can help it. Plus there's a whole new industry which is making hay while the sun shines and before the suing starts in earnest.
