When a kid has been affirmed from the moment they joined a children's GIC, what does it matter if they were 18+ signing consent forms? What chance does a kid have when they've grown up surrounded by professionals all agreeing they have dysphoria, saying they're "text-book trans"

Like, I was over 18 when I signed those consent forms too but honestly? The decision had already been made at 14 when I walked through those doors and was affirmed without any meaningful attempt to find out why I was dysphoric or what alternatives could be attempted.

IMHO at this point I don't see why children should be attending a GIC at all, I disagree with medical interventions under 18 and I don't think the therapists are doing any good. I was even under one who was considered a "gatekeeper" and yet, here I am. Hope to see change one day.
