They're pushing the idea to teens of you ask me. It's a message that says, give these people hormone blockers or they will kill themselves. Like, maybe don't give them anything as children, except a good stint of therapy and plenty of acceptance for the body they live in.
It's awful and I'm so glad me and my family never got involved when I came out (apart from one or two meetups I barely remember), luckily I was never one for support group type stuff.
